Backlog

Can you promise not to love anyone else after me?

I remember that morning. The distraught me decided to take a leave after two continuous days of crying at the office. I just couldn't be bothered by the looks people gave me. I'm sad and I need to cry while still delivering my work efficiently because I'm that good. So don't complain.

Anyway, I told my mum and she was sad. She told my dad about it and he got mad.

I turn on the TV, and there was it, Romeo and Juliet. The one with Leonardo DiCaprio as Romeo. I switched channels, and settled for Switched at Birth. The episode where there's a Romeo and Juliet play by the students directed by Bay's mom.

Okay.

Coincidence... right? But think again, do coincidence really exist? Everything is written long before it happened. This must be fate.

Back to that unfortunate day...

After Isya' we went to our friend's open house. I just got into the car, the radio was playing Scoin's Aku Terpaksa Kau Dipaksa and I was like, TURN OFF THE RADIO! He refused though. He turned the volume up a notch and sang his heart out. I sang along. That cheeky attitude. I will miss it.

My life is a cliche. Malay drama cliche.

How do you bid the love of your life goodbye? Do I have to? But what can we do now? There's no ending to it. How many years can we hold on to nothing. Can love save us?

Of course not. Not without our family's blessings.

Please know that our love remains. My love for you, and only you, remains.

Wrote this in August/ September 2013. We tried again in April 2014. And again this month but I think you can guess how that turned out. Akhirnya aku mengaku cinta bukan segalanya. Orang-orang tua tak nak mengalah anak-anak terpaksa undur diri. True story.
